Bob and Jackie Green have renovated and extended a large rural house in Hampshire. Jackie particularly desired a large ornamental fish pond feature in her new garden. In her wildest dreams Jackie would never have thought it possible to reuse the water flushed from toilets and emptied from sinks and the washing machine to fill her new pond. However, the Green's standard single house Bio-Bubble produces such clean effluent that it goes straight into their pond without any further treatment being necessary.
After installation, the performance of the plant was found to be in a class of its own. The Bio-Bubble is the only plant on the market in the UK that digests the solids as well as the liquids in the waste. This means that asside from producing effluent that reaches a standard well above future expected discharge legislation, the plant also has no need for annual desludging by a tanker. Instead as part of an annual maintenance contract, the Bio-Bubble service engineer extracts around two wheelbarrow loads of completely odorless semi-solid matter (humus) that is spread on the Green's lawn as a fertiliser.
