ECA Wastewater Recovery and Reuse Systems

Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme (ECA) will enable businesses to claim 100% first year capital allowances using Bio-Bubble waste water treatment processes for efficient water recovery and reuse schemes.

Businesses are now able to write off the whole cost of their investment against their taxable profits of the period during which they make the investment.

Enhanced Capital Allowances encourages businesses to invest in water saving technologies. Bio-Bubble waste water treatment processes qualify under the scheme where at least 40% of the treated effluent is recovered and reused under the criteria of: water reuse, efficient wastewater recovery and reuse systems.

The scheme is supported by Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and HM Revenue and Customs. Further details can be found here.
